What Is Holographic Psychology?

Holographic Psychology (HP) is about finding ones individual voice that has been asleep and is now ready to test new areas of being.

HP celebrates groundbreaking concepts pertaining to an awakening individual self.

It is about experimenting with the subjective world existing within our own consciousness, beyond our five senses, which corresponds to the way we evaluate our own thinking process. It is about testing how our meaning reflects our understanding and thus reveals our reality.

- As our perception changes so does our meaning.

- As our awareness soars so does our understanding.

- As our understanding increases, it brings with it inner peace and contentment.

Life is an ongoing school that has no ceiling since the quality of our life depends on our own level of awareness.

Our state of inner peace and contentment is, in turn, reflected to the outside world, which also benefits from these positive vibrations.

It is a realization that we cannot separate the understanding of our world from our consciousness and neither can we be separated from the consciousness of the universe. Separation is only a form of innocence (ignorance) we inherited with a dualistic world model.

When we practice a unified principle, also called ‘The Collective’ or ‘Universal Consciousness’, we are actually learning how each individual can consciously create a healthier, happier world that benefits everyone.

As we realize that we are all connected in consciousness, our lives change in many ways.

We are no longer victims of our environment but are individual beings, refereeing the values we have currently accepted and the part we play in the world. After awakening to increased levels of consciousness "Victimhood" is optional.

Playing the role of a victim is the result of refusing to wake up to our "inner" potential that is available to all of us.

The Origins of HP

Holographic Psychology is the brainchild of an independent research team in Southern California founded by the late Dr. James Pottenger.

He and his research team have spent fifty years developing Holographic Psychology by examining psychology, philosophy and religion, and integrating ancient wisdom and leading edge discoveries, thus creating a synthesis of behavioristic, humanistic and transpersonal psychology.

This system reveals that the above listed psychological schools correlate with paradigm shifts within human consciousness, bringing into existence new levels of understanding, altering the individual's world views.

These paradigm shifts expose three different levels of comprehension in which humans express their reality.

Key Factors

The biggest change in comprehension will be the realization that meaning in life is expressed subjectively and not objectively as believed for centuries.

The subjectivity will be recognized as psychological dynamics of a human being expressing at his/her current level of comprehension.

When this realization dawns, the individual has gained 'Location of Comprehension' or 'Feststellung' - a German word encompassing objective and subjective realization that arises in second level comprehension.

It presents a giant leap in understanding in which the individual becomes aware that language is a symbolic means that is interpreted subjectively and is not based on other people, places or things. Interpreting language therefore mirrors the individual's current self-image.
